THE RALLY
WHAT
The Mongol Rally is a yearly charity event organised by a mad bunch that call themselves The Adventurists. The idea behind it is to put some real adventure back into our lives in these times when cheap travel has become easier and more accessible than ever. So in July 2020, we’re going to be driving from London, England, a third of the way around the world across some extremely challenging terrain, all the way (hopefully) to the finish line in Mongolia.
WHY
If by now you’re thinking we’ve gone completely nuts, well you’re right. But apart from satisfying our love for travelling and adventures, we’re also doing this to raise awareness and funds for some great charities around the world.
THE RULES
Your car must be totally unsuitable for this kind of journey and best described as a s**tbox. The stupider, the better.
You’re on your own. There is no set route, support or assistance. So when we inevitably break down in the middle of a desert, we’ll be relying on the kind hearts of strangers willing to help us out along the way.
Each team must raise at least £1000 for charity.
